J'agrée sur le préavis (mais tu conviendras que 2 semaines c'est plus court que 2 mois).
Par ailleurs il reste la question de la motivation du licenciement.

Enfin, voici ce que dit un grand patron de la question (c'est moi qui souligne) :

From E. Leclerc’s point of view, he said it would have been better to reduce the costs of employing people rather than make it easier to fire them.
